Geoff has lived in Uppingham since 2011. He worked for an international bank for over 40 years in many different capacities covering over 30 countries and responsibilities including Strategy, IT, Corporate and Personal Finance, Marketing, Communications, Legal, HR and Operations. He moved with his family from Geneva to Uppingham in 2011 and retired in 2018.
Wherever they have lived, Janet and Geoff have been active in their locality – they believe in giving back to the community. Geoff has been a Citizens Advice trustee, High Sheriff of Rutland in 2022/23 and is currently Chair of Governors at Uppingham Community College (https://www.uppinghamcollege.org.uk/) and Chair of the oldest charity in Rutland, St John and St Anne (https://www.stjohnstanne.co.uk/), which provides independent living for around 120 retired people, over 30 of which live in Uppingham.
