Cllr Liz Clarke
Born and educated in Birmingham, I moved to Nottingham to raise my four children, and having lived in Gretton for several years in 2012 my husband Nick and I moved to Uppingham in 2012.
I love it here! After careers in Speech and Language Therapy, TV and radio and conference production, much of the last twenty years has been dedicated to Public Relations and communications, and Nick and I run our own company from our home offices. With clients primarily in the third sector and the church, we aim to make people's lives better through what we do. We are both regular members of Uppingham Parish Church, and I'm Chair of Governors at the C of E Primary School.
Being on the Town Council is great honour and huge responsibility. I really hope that the contribution I make will be effective in both maintaining the heritage and happiness that Uppingham offers, while seeing a way forward to a positive future for a vibrant, successful and caring town.
Cllr Clarke chairs the Environment, Infrastructure & Amenities Committee.
