Centrebus Service 747 - Important News
We have received this message today from Rutland County Council (RCC) having been alerted in the last couple of days about the Uppingham/Leicester bus service.
Uppingham Town Council are liaising with RCC and also talking to parish councils on the route to ensure all possible options are explored to keep this vital service.
Message from RCC: I just wanted to let you know that following a "Commercial Review", Centrebus have decided to terminate the Service 747 bus service between Leicester and Uppingham. This will take effect from Sunday 8th January 2017.
We realise that this will have an impact on Rutland residents, particularly around Uppingham, Wardley and Belton. We are therefore looking into alternative provision and will be displaying notices advising passengers of the change, and asking for details on their usage of the current service – days, times, destinations, purposes etc. – to assist with this.
If anyone contacts you about this then please do not hesitate to refer them to me, or they can email transport@rutland.gov.uk
Please help by providing as much information to RCC as possible if you use the service. If you want to you can leave quick views we will pass them on to the Transport Team - click here
