Route Change for 747 Centrebus - from 28th August

From next week the 28th August 2017 the 747 bus will terminate at the shopping centre Leicester and not the bus station.

This will shave about 10 minutes off the journey time and give the bus a better chance of keeping to its scheduled times. Some studies were done and this showed most people get off the bus at the shopping centre.

Regarding its long term future there is still no firm news yet. Centrebus will decide my mid October if they wish to continue to operate the bus service with or without a subsidy. Following that update from Centrebus more discussions will then be held between the operator and Leicestershire & Rutland County Councils.

Whatever the outcome the service will operate at least until the end of January 2018.
