VE Day - 75 Years

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe the Town Hall will be decorated with the 'Uppingham Poppies'.

David Casewell, Mayor of Uppingham said "There is no bunting in our cupboards, but we do have an opportunity to unfurl our display created by the people of Uppingham. The poppies remind us of the terrible loss of life created by wars, but also of hope and new life emerging from dark times. A fitting gesture."
